『CITY POP on VINYL 2020』8月8日(土)開催決定！参加作品第一弾も一斉発表！
日本が世界に誇るシティ・ポップの新旧カタログ一斉ON SALEの『CITY POP on VINYL 2020』が8月8日(土)に開催決定！
1970年代から80年代にかけて流行した日本のポップス“CITY POP”は、現在、日本の若い音楽ファンのみならず、海外の音楽ファンの間にも人気のジャンルです。テレビでも、大貫妙子さんのレコードを求めて海外から日本にやってきたYOUがリポートされたり、竹内まりやさんの「プラスティック・ラブ」が世界各国で人気となりYouTubeで2400万回再生を記録したり、当時の音楽家の皆さんの頑張りが今、世界的に評価を受けています。そして現在、これら過去音源に影響を受けて音楽を作っている若手アーティストがとても元気です。
①世界的に有名な定番CITY POPクラシックスから若手現行CITY POPアーティストの作品まで、日本のポップ・シーンを時間縦断し、ショップで体験できるイベントを目指します。
②廃盤や在庫切れとなった作品も、このタイミングで再リリースしてラインナップ！

開催概要： 2020年8月8日(土)午前0時より、CITY POP on VINYLにエントリーされたアナログレコードを一斉に店頭・オンラインショップなどで販売開始といたします。ネット販売、予約受注に関する制限は設けておりません。新旧問わず、CITY POPアイテムが対象となります。

“CITY POP on VINYL 2020”, a new vinyl event featuring City Pop will take place on Saturday, August 8!
City Pop is a Japanese pop music that was popular in the 1970s and 1980s, and is now popular among today’s young music fans not only in Japan but also around the world. For example, a tourist who came to Japan looking for Taeko Onuki’s vinyl was recently featured on TV, and the music video of “Plastic Love” by Mariya Takeuchi hit 24 million views on YouTube. The works of those artists are now highly regarded worldwide, and young artists who are inspired by them are very active.
①From world-famous City Pop classics to the works of today’s young City Pop artists, “CITY POP on VINYL 2020” aims to be an event which you can experience the Japanese pop scene through time at record shops.

About: Vinyl releases that are submit for CITY POP on VINYL will be sold at record shops and online from Saturday, August 8, 2020. There are no restrictions on taking preorders and selling online. Any vinyl releases that fall into the category of City Pop can be submitted for this event regardless of old or new.
